Hotstone is a form of Hydrotherapy.
In a Hot Stone Massage we use specially selected basalt stones.
The stones are heated to a temperature between 110F - 130F. The therapist will then hold the stone in their hand and use it to massage the body. This allows the heat from the stone to transfer into your body.
Craniosacral therapy is a light touch, that works with the body's craniosacral system. To support and nourish the central nervous system, which restores and balances the body.
This therapy improves overall health and well-being. Helps to alleviate aches, pains, stress and injury.
The Upledger Institute in Florida provides practitioner training.
By placing a plastic cup onto the skin, the therapist creates a vacuum in the cup which draws the skin, muscle, and fascia up into the cup. This vacuum can be created with a hand suction pump. The cups can remain in position for several minutes, or the therapist can glide them over the skin similar to the movements of a massage.
You can have a massage while pregnant.
